Hi Everyone,

Is the maker mark J.G & S938 a recognised pre 1918 makers mark for this award?

I have spent sometime searching here and the WAF and cannot find a reference to it.

I have found J.G u S938 but no '&'

any opinions welcomed!!

I believe so but other with more knowledge will weigh in.

They are the same maker: Jean Godet & Sohne (...und Sohne). Pieces have also been seen marked "J.G.S." and simply "GODET."
