what ranks are these two soldiers ? Am i right from the shoulder boards that they are IR32 Thanks Mark

No name or date on EITHER? I am fairly sure that is the same fellow-- right photo taken somewhat later and he's put on more weight. Both look pre-war to me.

Left hand photo in the old pre-war fatigue drill Litewka tunic, either a Sergeant (German army title, not translation) or Vizefeldwebel. In the right hand one he is a Vizefeldwebel-- because he is wearing an officer's M89 sword with officers' portepee, which the identically uniformed rank of Sergeant could not carry that arm of rank.

Too too bad no name, because Inf Rgt 32 was thoroughly covered in Meiningen's WW1 rolls. I typed enough of 'em up getting those into print!
