leigh kitchen Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 (edited) From top left, left to right, Herefordshire Regt (one of the 4 TF infantry regiments created in 1908), worn until about 1947 when the Herefordshires were retitled Herefordshire Light Infatntry, affiliated to the Kings Shropshire Light Infantry.Kings Own Royal Regiment - Lancaster's, worn about 1898 - 1950's,Lincolnshires - if it's "Lincolnshire" it's Lincs Regt about 1898 - about 1947, when the title changed to "Royal Lincolnshire", worn into the 1950's.Bedfordshire Regiment, about 1898 - 1919, when the badge changed as they became "Royal".Queen's Regiment, the West Surreys, about 1898 - 1922 (?) when the badge changed. Also worn by a couple of battalions of the London Regt (TF).Royal Engineers GRV cypher in the centre - unvoided, WWI economy brass badge, the voided version being worn 1910 - 1936.The "Welsh" Regiment, about 1898 - 1922(?), when it changed to "Welch" Regiment, worn into the 1950's.Manchester Regiment, changed to the Fleur de Lis badge in 1936? Can't remember.Royal Marine Light Infantry, worn until 1923, when amalgamated with the Royal Marine Artillery.Royal Fusiliers, about 1898 - 1950's, also worn by 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th Bns London Regiment. 12th London Regiment, "The Rangers", the earlier badge, changed to another pattern, I think during the 1920's but can't remember offhand.
