Ferg1 Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 Hi Guys, a bit of a long shot but does anyone have any ideas what this could be? Picked up on a D-day airfield, about 4" high by2" wide ,has some sort of rack facing for a pinion drive to longest face and variousgrooved /serrated faces to others.Steel with what looks to be three holes running through it. Thanks,Ferg1.

RogerK Posted April 21, 2013 Posted April 21, 2013 That's workshop equipment. Three of those where used on a lathe - a machine for shaping metal or wood - to clamp the workpiece while turning against a fixed cutting tool.
Mervyn Mitton Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 4 years since the original question - well done Roger - and welcome to GMIC. Mervyn
