Jamie770
Birmingham City helmet dating from before 1936. Six panel design with cloth centre band, fluted white metal spike and cross base with ear rosettes and helmet plate. Most Birmingham City helmets I have handled are stencilled in white paint inside - this one has 'BP C295 34' presumably 'BP' for Birmingham Police, 'C295' being the officers number and '34' being the date 1934 Edited July 29, 2009 by Jamie770

Mervyn Mitton
I didn't know Birmingham was one of the few Forces to wear white summer helmets. Thanks for even more great helmets.
