Can anyone help with the abbreviation on a Volunteer Force Long Service Medal

"1/C.P.R.G.A.V."

I would guess that the RGAV is Royal Garrison Artillery Volunteers

Just a semi-educated guess, but how about 1st Cinque Ports, Royal Garrison Artillery ( Volunteers ) from Sussex? I don't have it to hand but you might want to have a look at " The Volunteer Artillery 1859-1908 " by N. Litchfield and R. Westlake, published in 1982. Good luck!
