Belgium Belgian Naval Life Saving Medal?

Hello,

I have a nice medal in my collection but am trying to find out more about it. First, is it Belgian? With an anchor and a red cross in the center, I think it may be a Life Saving Medal of some kind, Does anyone know more? Thank you.

It is a Belgian medal: unofficial

tricolore band on the sides and the colours red and white indicate the city of Bruges.

then I have to guess, Bruges has a port and also a beach, so maybe it is a medal

for life guards on the beach.
