Startling Evidence Of Satellite Imagery Circa 1934 Somewhere In Mitteleuropa

Very rarely does one see the tops of Generals' heads, let alone an Archduke's.

Hoch- und Deutschmeister Erzherzog Eugen (1863-1954) is second from left in front. Perhaps this dates circa 1934 when he was allowed to returned to return to Austria after winning his court case to retain the Order's properties?

Two of the eight Austrian army Maria Theresa Order-Commander recipients (both Generalobersts from the collar rank?) are 3rd and far right in the front row. Don't have the sources to know who was dead, and can't quite tell who they are 15+ years after the war and from above--

Note the extremely crude botched attempt at "fixing" too much shadow on the upper 2 buttons of the fetahered General to Eugen's left-- which makes it look as if he has bread rising between his Malta and medals bar. No Photoshop back then! :whistle:

The helmeted officers are wearing uniforms of Horthy "Regency" Hungary (God love Archduke Otto-- he IS still alive, at 96?) and the bareheaded officer 3rd left in the second row is wearing the Horthy-regime badge of a "Vitez."

The seated Major at far right in that row also was a "Vitez" and is wearing the Hungarian WW1 Commemorative medal (1928+) ahead of his Horthy regime long service cross.

The kepi'd officers behind them are from the Austrian Bundesheer.

Whether the helmeted troops assembled far, far below this rather odd sideways-facing reviewing... monumen... are Hungarian (like the helmeted officers) or Austrian, cannot be determined--by me, anyway!

Satellite imagery was not as developed, back then. :catjava:

Yes, Archduke Otto, Crown Prince of Austria-Hungary, is still alive. He fell and was injured at his home in Bavaria not long ago, but a friend of mine who is a friend of the family said he's been recovering very well.
