Komtur Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 This picture of a Beamter shows on the back Gustav Dresler. Can anybody confirm this name by his decorations? Can´t find one in the DOA 1908/9, State and Court 1900 and Siekmann 1883. Regards, Komtur.
Komtur Posted September 28, 2009 Author Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) Sorry, there is a Gustav Dresler with KO4 in the DOA 1908/9, but without the KDM 1870 and the CM. He is a Polizeiinspektor. Could it be him? Edited September 28, 2009 by Komtur
Guest Rick Research Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Yes, I think that is a senior Polizei uniform. He may not be in a Hof- und Staatshandbuch because police authorities were often local. I don't find him in the Prussian HuSHB for 1893, so either he was in the Reichs HuSHB (Reichslande Elsass-Lothringen) or... he was a local official never listed. That's an interesting medal bar because he has the noncombatant 1870 medal, which means he was in France, probably under fire, but not a Waffenträger then. If he had been a stay-at-home, the ribbon would be the combatant type. What city was this photo taken in? If it's Colmar, that'd match the Orders Almanac official born in 1842.
HeikoGrusdat Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 .....now Tilo that was a very fast transfer from the market to the depot interesting bar, I watched it too....
