I just picked this up at a local show, I can't find any makers marks and was wondering if the clamshell disks are maker specific.

Any thoughts appreciated, this is my first KVK1 and I don't have my reference material on hand.

I don't believe that the specific type of screw fitting will identify the maker, however the fakes made by Floch often feature this type of large "clamshell" fitting. Clearer scans would be needed to get a better impression of the possibility of this one being a good one, the images here are too small and too dark to see fine details clearly.

After reviewing a helpful thread on the WAF, it seems as though I have myself a genuine Floch!

My cross seems to have two of the tooling marks distinctive to his copies.

Of course, if the experts were to disagree with my entirely novice opinion , I wouldn't mind one bit!
