The Prussian Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 (edited) Hello gentlemen! Last week I bought this nice photograph. I think it was taken in the 20s. Please have a look at the collar patches of the standing man (fourth of right). He wears the motif of the old telegraph shoulder straps. Which unit could it be? The other question is about the first sitting civilian man. Could it be Dr.Goebbels or maybe his brother? Unfortunately the card is unwritten and not stamped, so I don´t have any informations. Many thanx in advance! Edited October 28, 2009 by The Prussian

Guest Rick Research Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 You need an Epppppppppppppppppppppppppson scanner. I have never seen weird collar patches like that, but all the other uniforms are 1920s Polizei (so no Goebbels). The ones with the upright rank bars on their collars are from Baden. The plain tabs with buttons were used by just about every other police formation-- some sort of signals school. I'd guess.
The Prussian Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 Hi Rick! Thank you for your answer. Yes, I thought about police too. Signal school possible. Unfortunately I haven´t found a good book about old german police uniforms- With Goebbels I´m not quite sure. The face, the hair, he looks like one of the family. Joseph had two brothers, but I don´t know, what they did in the 20s. Maybe a double?
