These were primarily worn by members of the Motorisierte Gendarmerie whilst serving with the Wehrmacht as temporary Military Police (i.e. during the Anschluss, the occupation of the Sudetenland etc). Shown here with a set of appropriate insignia for a senior NCO of the Motorisierte Gendarmerie.
