Komtur Posted December 6, 2009 Posted December 6, 2009 (edited) Is there any evidence, that the Reserve-Officer on these pictures could be a "Direktor der Reußengrube Herr Weiß" from Kretschwitz bei Gera? Edited December 6, 2009 by Komtur
Komtur Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 I ask this, because of the document, wich came together with the protraits:
Komtur Posted December 6, 2009 Author Posted December 6, 2009 It documented the "award" of the Kaisers pottery bust, shown below, to this Mr. Weiß. Best regards, Komtur.
Guest Rick Research Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 (edited) I cannot make out what--if anything ( ) is on his "Major" shoulder boards, but there is clearly a Vorstoss around his collar tabs-- so either some sort of upper Beamter or a doctor? The absence of maching Litzen on his cuffs confuses me. I suspect he is a career regular military Beamter who was also at some time a dR or dL officer-- probably aD from that status by the time this photo was taken. That would seem to make the named document a false clue... ? Edited December 8, 2009 by Rick Research
