George Medal - Sgt R. Ball

Hi all

During my December break I was fortunate to meet the son of one of South Africa's WWII heroes. He told me his dad's story and showed me the original citation for the award of the medal to his farther. Also saw the photo of Sgt Ball receiving his George Medal in 1947 from the king.

I don't know how and why the medal was not kept in the family. The son asked me if I can help him trace the medal. He just wants to know the medal's whereabouts to give him some peace of mind.

Any help will be appreciated.
