    Here's one, with a "medal slip", basic,small pieces of paper rather than the larger more colourful & ormate scrolls.

    These are to a WWII Royal Artlleryman who died as POW of the Japanese at Changi, Singapore about the time of the POW's "strike" against the Japanese order to sign chts stating that they would not attempt to escape.

    it left quite an impression when i first

    saw it at age 7 or 8.

    and the faraway look in her eyes when she

    said "he was such a sweet young man....".

    and that probably 45 years after he died...
