Hi all,

Here is my latest arrival - Philippines Military Merit Medal.

Can you please correct me, regarding the information what I have.

The Military Merit Medal was awarded for Distinguished and Meritorious Military Service whether as an Achievement or involvement in actual combat, for wounds recieved in action or death in action.

Established and awarded during the Philippines Commonwealth period (1935-1946).

Maker mark is stamped under the brooch;

"El Oro"

Military Jeweler

Jose J. Tupaz, Jr.

Quezon City, Philipines

I would like to know when this medal was established exactly, how many aprox. were awarded? From what period my piece would be?

It is missing two stars - I have one and I have to attach it again.
