Scott Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I found this while surfing the web. My assumtion is a civilian or veteran commemortive medal of some sort. Anyone know for sure what it is?
Dolfek Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 Hi, It´s the uprising and victory Nationalist commemorative medal for the 1936-1939 campaing. There´re two types of medal, in bronze and silver. The silver type is almost ten times more expensive than the bronze one. In a spanish military antique shop catalog from 2002 the bronze medal was 12 euros, while the silver type was 96 euros. I hope this helps you a bit. Regards, Dolfek.
Scott Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 Thank you Dolfek. Do you know the time period these medals were minted?
Dolfek Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 Hi, Sorry, but I´m afraid I don´t know the exact period. But my guess would be right after the war, during the 1940´s. I´ll try to find it out for you, if I´m lucky enough. Regards, Dolfek.
