Dieter3 Posted June 27, 2010 Share Posted June 27, 2010 Another new arrival - boxed Gold Order of Merit. What I'm not certain about is if this accompanied an actual medal, or if this IS the "medal"? I believe it is....Paul??? Well, at least this has shed some light on the (to me) mystery of these little plastic boxed lapel pins!! Apparently this one was given for this recipient being a generous blood donor. 1984 "vintage". Box has a tear in the upper right hand corner that was repaired and the interior is heavily foxed, but intact. Plaque appears to have been packed in an original plastic bag, but no need to show that!
