2xvetran Posted August 16, 2010 Posted August 16, 2010 I thought that this might be a good spot to display my Republic era Iraqi Military Police display. This is the standard green service dress uniform with the M.P. Command sleeve patch and arcs. The beret is the proper red beret for M.P. units and carries the police beret badge (I have been told that Republican Guard M.P. units wore the eagle badge, not sure on the validity though). The shoulder rope (qardoon) is the completely black version for M.P. The rank is a Second Lieutenant and the dispatch bag is Iraqi produced. Also visible is the M.P. Brassard in red and yellow. I think a lot has been borrowed from the British with the use of the red insignia. Scott.
2xvetran Posted August 16, 2010 Author Posted August 16, 2010 Here is a closer look at the beret badge, and the brassard and arc insignia. Someday I will find an Arabic mannequin Scott
