Recent Acquisition at OMSA Convention

One of the orders that I was able to acquire was this beautiful, mint Second Class Order of the Rising Sun.

This decoration was awarded to a caucasian making it even more interesting. It was awarded by the Emperor to Sir John Waldron, Knight Commander Victoria Order for Services in 1971.

Not only was I too stupid to post a link, I was too stupid to be able to reduce the size of the photo to the GMIC standards.

I hope this works for you. The medal is rather interesting to me because of who it was awarded to.

Thank you Richard! What a beautiful medal and the condition is perfect! I only have a 3th class rising sun but the 2th class is much nicer with the breast star. Thank you for sharing this!

Thank you for your comments Alex. It is in mint condition and it is the first time that I was able to obtain the document certificate. My friend Brian Wolfe painstakingly showed me how to shrink the pictures but my computer crashed and I lost my old picture processing program.
