sbintayab Posted August 18, 2010 Posted August 18, 2010 Dear, Can anyone give me the images of cap badges of Pakistan Frontier Corps.............. Thanks Shams
Hugh Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Finally found it! I had to root through a number of dusty drawers. I got this in Peshawar in the '80's while I was working up there. It was rather beaten up when I got it so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's pre-Partition. Perhaps someone can tell us. There was a bit of green verdigris on it, which I attempted to remove with a stiff bristle brush. You can see traces, but then, that's appropriate considering its provenance. Best, Hugh
Hugh Posted August 20, 2010 Posted August 20, 2010 Here's the reverse. You'll see that the pin is quite different from most UK / Commonwealth badges, but I also have a Rajputana Rifles badge with a very similar pin. I got the Raj Rifles in Delhi. It's equally weathered.

Hugh Posted August 25, 2010 Posted August 25, 2010 (edited) Dear Shams, Thanks for the information. It's evident that you're much better informed on Frontier Corps than I am. I appreciate it. Does the Frontier Force Regiment (Army) still exist? The last time I visited them was around 1989. Best, Hugh Edited August 25, 2010 by Hugh
