Medal bar

Hi all,

Here is my Spanish medal bar (missing second Military Merit Cross unfortunately). Shows some age but as I know now, this cross was instituted by Queen Isabel II in 1864 and staid in use until 30s, is it correct?

My main question would be: is there any specific indications, what would help to date that bar? Can it be pre WW1 period (that would make my day:cheeky: )?
