Thomas W Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 Is this the sleeve badge of a Flugabwehr-Maschinengewehr-Abteilung?
Chip Posted December 5, 2010 Posted December 5, 2010 (edited) I don't believe so. At least I have never seen it in that context. It looks like one of the sleeve unit designations from the 208.I.D., the so-called "Querstrich Division". They used various combinations of stripes and "X" to indicate the unit within the division. These were worn on the lower left sleeve. Chip Edited December 5, 2010 by Chip

Immer ein waagerechter Balken, und darüber die Symbole für die verschiedenen Einheiten." (208. Inf.-Div.: IR25, IR185, RIR65, FAR 267)
Thomas W Posted December 5, 2010 Author Posted December 5, 2010 Thanks very much, gentlemen. I appreciate it.
