Kev in Deva
Picture 11 Sadly no name & no medals but a fine looking military figure. In the rear top right corner nearly completely covered with writing is the name of the photographer in Sibiu. Kev in Deva
Picture 12 Family Studio Portrait. The rather relaxed soldier sports the Romanian Cross of War for service in WW1. Penciled notation to the rear of the card dated :- 26 III 1920. Which might explain why he sports no Romanian Inter-Allied Victory Medal. Kev in Deva
I will next post a series of pictures obtained from one family, the family history is interesting with officers serving Romania going back to W.W.1, W.W.2, Post W.W.2 Communist R.P.R. period and Communist R.S.R. period and post communist period. When I asked the gentleman why he was willing to get rid of such pictures he replied, "My only daughter has no interest in them!" Sad Kevin in Deva. Edited February 10, 2011 by Kev in Deva

While a bit sad, I would venture to say that most of our collections would be much smaller if it weren't for the disinterested family members of the veterans. Great pics Kevin, still looking for the odd combat/field uniform shot Scott.
