Odulf Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 (edited) Can any of you gents please help to identify the tinnie this Spielmann of the RAD Abteilung 85 is wearing, I cannot find it in the database. It's shield shaped, depichting an embossed bust of an SA (?) man facing left. Edited March 13, 2011 by Odulf
Wood Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 A town name is needed. Remember there are 12,500+ tinnies and then there are goodness knows how many WHW badges. Regards, Pete

Regards, Pete Hi Pete, The photographer's studio was in Lippehne (Brandenburg). Would this be of significance? Thanks for your help. Edited March 17, 2011 by Odulf
Wood Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) This is the only one from Brandenburg that conforms to the same shape (Pic. from Tiestes 2 volumes on tinnies) BUT not all badges made are in his books yet. Does the date seem to conform with the uniform............ (hmmm poetry??) Regards, Pete Edited March 17, 2011 by wood
Wood Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 (edited) Actually looking at both images, it dosn't look like a match. The picture does look as if he has just come in from accompanying a march, love the wrinkled armband. Nothing for Lippehne. Another nearby town? or a, so far, unrecorded badge. Odulf Posted March 18, 2011 Author Posted March 18, 2011 Thanx chums! Your adds exclude some, but also attribute another mistery, perhaps to be unveiled by others. I so much love these photos of badges being worn on uniforms... Together we gain, that's the force of this forum.
