Noor
Hi guys, I have a question about the Hannover 16 years long service medal. I hope someone has materials regarding that. Like I understand this medal was instituted 2nd March 1837 by King Wilhelm IV. Now, I have seen few different obverses of that award. My question is how many different types of that medal had been produced. I understand there is medals with: King Wilhelm IV head (1837-1841???) King Ernst August younger head (1841-1846???) King Ernst August older head (???) (1846-1866???) Also what was designer full name? Like I have seen, he was from Brunswick and his first name was Fritz, is it correct? Also is there any figures how many each of different type was awarded? Does figure 1,670 is correct for Wilhelm IV head medals? Regards, Timo Here is mine: Edited May 4, 2011 by Noor
