The Badger Posted February 7, 2012 Posted February 7, 2012 After searching and googling the web I come to the font of all knowledge GMC for information on this badge, I am sure it must be a Fire badge with crossed axes and a helmet, but which one and what country. I await the answers to flood in from GMC members. The badge has 2 EW loop fixings and is approx 44mm dia. Thanks in advance Alan
Mervyn Mitton Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Hi Alan - haven't seen you post for a while. I wish I could assist on this badge - but, I've always found that so many Fire Brigade look the same. Didn't Ian have an Idea ? Anyway, let's hope one of the members will recognise it ? Mervyn
Ian Shepherd Posted February 9, 2012 Posted February 9, 2012 Alan, it could be a British Fire Services Association badge but I am not sure. Ian.
Officer of Artillery Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 Hi chaps, This is my first posting and I hope the info I give is correct! I'm 99% sure this is a UK Industrial Fire Services badge, probably a collar badge. Not sure which Brigades would have worn it but probably private and factory brigades that didn't have their own badge (unlike such as ICI, Rolls Royce etc). I think it's a 1960's / 70's badge.
