Ulsterman Posted February 15, 2012 Posted February 15, 2012 Well, I got this off eBay. I thought it was one of Wellingtons' old hands, but now I look at it it might be a Crimea vet with a LS and regimental medal.
Ulsterman Posted February 15, 2012 Author Posted February 15, 2012 Here is a close up. I swear that's an MGS at the top with a couple of bars...and a Waterloo lower right side-although the ring's a bit small..... but maybe it's just wishful thinking....
Tony Farrell Posted February 16, 2012 Posted February 16, 2012 I'm seeing an NGS (Syria), a St. Jean d'Acre, a Crimea and a Turkish Crimea.
Ulsterman Posted February 16, 2012 Author Posted February 16, 2012 Ah-ha! Brilliant. ......Joan of Arce medal. Thanks Tony!!! I owe you a beer (not one of the new 2% ones either)
Mervyn Mitton Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 A lovely old photo - and some special medals being shown. I would judge the photo to be about the 1880's from the style of dress ?
