Hello! I am from Japan but unfortunately I don't know anything about knives. I do know that ww knives, swords are considered weaponry and hard, almost impossible to possess. So overseas there is a lot of... like this one on the photo. But it is inscribed registered trademark or product of Higo. So I think it's older than ww times. Sorry I can't really help.
