i won off ebay a ww1 british navy group to j10393 a.e.cowdery a.b royal navy come with a french medal can anyone tell me what it for. or may be it not a medal at all.at the top of the medal look like if a ring as broken off where the ribbon may go.it was made by melleriro meller if that help paul
