Mervyn Mitton Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 A small badge - obviously with some equestrian background. However, can any member identify Country and purpose ? Mervyn http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_08_2012/post-6209-0-11081600-1345040217.jpgclick
Mervyn Mitton Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 Staamped 'Silver' - in English. Perhaps Malta ? http://gmic.co.uk/uploads/monthly_08_2012/post-6209-0-97830100-1345040353.jpgclick
Claudius Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 (edited) Hmmmm....The stamp SILVER in English, the uncommon pin, the rough back and the angled pin and clasp hardware...I don't think it's German. The fact that this is not a recognizable maker silvermaker stamp and is just impressed with the word "SILVER" leads me to believe that this is a trinket piece. Edited August 15, 2012 by Claudius
Mervyn Mitton Posted August 15, 2012 Author Posted August 15, 2012 You beat me to posting it ...................
TacHel Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 A trinket of the Order of St John perhaps? Could be a knight of St John...
