Ian Sayer Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 I'm not an expert on uniforms but this photo might, I repeat might, be of a Swedish military attache to Warsaw in 1937. I'm hoping that some of you uniform and medal experts will be able to advise me on just whose army this unidentified officer was serving in. Many thanks
kimj Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Perhaps not that unkown, as he wrote his name on the photo: Yngve Schröder 1934. I don't have any records that can confirm if he was a military attaché. But I see that he had a knights cross of Polonia Restituta in 1937, then he was a captain not a lieutenant as in the pic. He is wearing a uniform for the "Kungl. Norrlands Artilleriregemente" royal artillery regiment of Norrland. /Kim
Ian Sayer Posted January 7, 2013 Author Posted January 7, 2013 Thank you Kim. There is a Carl Yngve Schroder who was born in 1901 and died in 1985. It seems that this is the same man. I really appreciate your help. If anyone has any additional biographical information I would appreciate it. Thanks again. Regards Ian
