or was it just to celebrate the end of the war

I had one in a box of things just no ribbons attached

ill put up pics if anyone wants to see it but I guess its a common medal

Hi Chris

It could well be a 1919 Peace Celebration medal, these were given out mainly to children at the peace celebrations held in towns and cities in July 1919 to celebrate the end of WWI. There are numerous varieties of these medals in aluminium, brass, copper, bronze, and some in silver.

You are probably all right that it is a 1919 commemoration peace award. However, without a picture we are only guessing.
