maura315 Posted February 28, 2013 Share Posted February 28, 2013 Hello, My grandfather (Rodolfo Muntjan/Muntian/Muntean) was born in Romania and started his cadet training with the kuk, I presume in Fiume, in 1910. He finished his training in 1914, then served as a lietenant in the kuk Kreigsmarine 1914-1918. Does anyone have access to ANY naval records/info about the kuk? Ian Posted August 20, 2013 Share Posted August 20, 2013 Hi, I have located an entries for: Rudolf MUNTJAN born 1892. He entered service in the k.u.k. Kriegsmarine 05 Jul 1913 and was promoted to the rank of Seefahnriche in der Reserve 01 May 1917. Last know service was aboard SMS Temes. Eugen MUNTEAN born 1878. He entered service in the k.u.k. Kriegsmarine 27 Jan 1901 and was promoted to the rank of Marineartillerie-Oberingenieure 2. Klasse 01 Nov 1917. Eugen MUNTEAN was a Beamte and was eqivalant to a Korvettankapitan or Major.
