    General der Gerbirgsjäger Karl Eglseer.

     

    Born: 5th July 1890 Bad Ischl, Austria

    Died: 23th June 1944 - Steirermark, Austria, - member of General Dietl's party, flying to meet the Führer, plane crashed into Hochwendel Mountain - Dietl, Eglseer and all personnel killed

     

    Highest rank reached: General of Gebirgsjägertruppe -1/3/44

     

    Generalleutnant 4th Gebirgsjäger Division (Enzian)

    Kommandierenden General XVIII Gebirgsjäger Korp

     

    A number of WW1 Austrian Medals,
