Alan
Hi Guys, Would like some opinions on this 15 Jahre Dienstauszeichnung. One set of references I have state the dimensions at 43mm x 44mm @ 10.4g the other at 39mm x 39mm @ 11.6g both made from Tombak. The seller has added some dimensions to the picture I was sent, but he did not have a set of scales for weight. I would love to be able to fill a hole in the collection if possible so any help would be great. Edited July 14, 2013 by Alan
Guest Rick Research
40mm square is about right. No need for anything more precisely fussy than that. I see you've got one of the chocolate bronze pre 1906 XXIVs--HARD to find out here in the world. For some reason, most (all?) of the golden XXIV 1906+s I've seen have been made by Weiss & Co-- CAST, just like their BMVs. Must have been the low bidder on THAT contract!
