Hptm Otto Gerstenberg, Hptm Konrad Steegmann

I'd like to know what awards got this two army officers. Both were commanders of several air ships during WW1.

I know that both got the EK2 and EK1.

Steegmann got LüH 20.12.16 as Oberlt "LZ 87" and EH3bX 30.09.16 as Oberlt Kmdt "LZ 87."

In the meantime I found the SEHO award to Steegmann. The LüH is new for me.

Can you please look for Hptm Hans Barth.

All this guys were commanders of LZ 87 but the order is unknown. I thought it is possible to find out in which order they are when I see the award date. I don't have another source.

Maybe it works.

I know that Steegmann was commander of LZ 87 from at least Sept. to Dez. 1916.

I hope you had EH3bX from Daniel and my "Ernestinischen Herzogtümer...1914-1918" (2008)

Nothing on Barth from the awards we have transcribed. I always used to ask Neal O'Connor why he didn't do airship people (except a very few as rare examples) and he'd just laugh and say he was only interested in flyers "with wings." So nothing from all those years he hand transcribed so many awards in so many archives. I think 99.999% of all "Luftschiffer" awards we turn up were actually artillery observation balloon units.

I asked myself why he don't listed the Luftschiffer guys.

Do you have any awards for Gerstenberg?

He succeeds Steegmann as commander of LZ 87 maybe early 1917.
