IrishGunner Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Created in 1968 to honor the remaining living veterans of WWI; only one class "Knight". To be eligible, a veteran have had to serve in combat for at least 6 months, have been awarded the War Merit Cross (or have been eligible for the award).
