Eva
The foto of the Soldier Weiss was the set I bought at auction, not my friends family fotos so I know really nothing about them other then the information you have been kind enough to supply. the other foto of the soldier where you mentioned the collar button and the vallap with a number I enlarged it on my machine as best I could, to me it looks like a number 8 but it could be a 6 on the vallap button . I have been forwarding all the data you posted to my friend Scott who provided those family fotos and he extends his eternal thanks also. It seems this has lit a spark in him to do more extensive research so he is calling the older members of his family to see what stories anyone can remember. So again my sincere thanks and if I can return the favour in some way please simply ask. Happy Easter Eva
The Prussian
Hi Eva! Well, the number on the button indicates the company, and the number on the shoulder strap indicates the regiment. If you see a 6 on the shoulder strap, it really could be the Gren.Rgt.6 (Posen)
