paul kennedy
I just purchased this Northumberland Fusiliers cap. I'm assuming that it would date from the 1950's-60's based on the "By appointment to Her Majesty The Queen" title in the makers label. What do you all think? Am I correct? Can it be narrowed down any more? Thank you very much. Paul
Jerry B
Very nice. 1953 to 1968 as they were amalgamted that year to form the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. I have two for this rank for the RA, one Great war and the other second world war but othewise very much the same as they did not change much until the 70's. paul kennedy
I did! I also saw the 2nd Monmouthshire example. I'm jealous.
Graham Stewart
Sorry for my late appearance with this one, but sometimes a name can be found under the brown leather sweatband - take a peak, and if there is we'll try and give you some background. My only concern is the badge which appears to be an other ranks capbadge and not the officers silver & gilt or am I wrong. Illustrated is my own officers cap from my collection.
