J Temple-West Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Thought I would put this set up after a bit of a practise with the new camera (Nikon D610)....great camera, came out rather well I thought. The badge itself was obtained from the family of Wilhelm "Willi" Koch, a pilot with JG3 “Udet”. He nearly made to the end of the war, but was unfortunately killed during operations against allied fighters, and was seen by his wingman crashing into the Schweriner See on the 2nd May 1945, never to be seen again.I was told that he always wore his cloth Pilot's badge, keeping his metal badge for special occasions....hence the condition. Obverse....
J Temple-West Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 The set, with miniature for civilian attire.
