j-sk Posted May 24, 2015 Posted May 24, 2015 Good evening Gentlemen,Recently I have bought a WW2 group of three Finnish medals including:- 1939-1940 Winter War medal (Reverse: KUNNIA INSÄNMAA);- 1941-1945 Continuation War medal (Observe: FOSTERLANDET);- Medal 1st class (silver with gilded cross) of the Order of the White Rose of Finland (Reverse: ISÄNMAAN HYVÄKSI).Does anyone of you know if it is possible to find the Winter War medal with Finnish reverse together with the Continuation War medal with Swedish observe on the same group? Thanks for letting me know. All the best.J-S Karlen
FRE_A_K Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Yeah, absolutely!Continuation war medal with ''Fosterlandet'' (Fatherland in swedish) obverse was awarded to swedish speaking people. And there's no winter war medal with swedish text. So there's nothing really special about it... - Vili
