South American Medal 1879-81

Hello Sirs

I reently acquired this medal. I would be most grateful if anyone could supply detailed information on this piece. It also came with a gold pin which I beleive is related in some way. A period box was with the items.

It is a Chilean Medal, War of the Pacific ( Guerra del Pacifico )  against Peru and Bolivia 1879/83. Victory of Chile.

It seems to be a medal of naval artillery battalion (Batallón Cívico de Artillería Naval)
