    Hi all,

    Seeking information about this picture.

The picture was photographed in Arnsberg / Westf. Germany 1945.

You know the gesture of the soldier?

    Please excuse my poor English

    Best wishes

    Peter from Arnsberg /Germany

The first picture is a movement in Fixing Bayonet Drill......  It must be an Honour Guard for some reason......

It's part of unfixing bayonets.  They're in the act of replacing the bayonet in the scabbard, which requires two hands hence the rifle between the knees.

    Cheers,

    Dan.
