just spotted this cased 1914 EK2 on Ebay UK, but its got the French or Belgium style double pin mounting??? and is that another ribbon piece behind the EK ribbon??

Looks like it was cut off a medal bar and somebody just stuck the prongs in it to me. The case has nothing to do with the cross.

well, you can't blame them for trying......... or can you? This is a good example to study with respects to construction techniques used on a higher-quality medal bar...
