    Hi

    i spotted this armband but was wondering why the words are in German and English, could it have been worn by Fire Brigades under the Control Commission Germany post 1945?

    Your speculation is probably correct, Sapper.  U.S. Army's German labor battalions wore a "GERMAN" English language patch.  There are others on this site with more knowledge than I.6941stGuard-GERMAN-patch.jpg.b81d316953c2f792a682b6b5d8e8579d.jpg
