ChrisW Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 (edited) Last week, Egypt awarded the first Sinai Star -- its highest military gallantry medal -- since 1978. It's also the first Sinai Star for actions during the 1973 war awarded since 1974. (The 1978 awards were to commandos who participated in a hostage rescue in Cyprus.)
