podpolkovnik Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 i am doing some historical recreation and i want to do it as close to the real stuff as it gets so in order to get a nice uniform decorated i need the acurrate medals and orders , the medals are for a gimnasterka of a major of tank troops , the medals are the following , HSU , OL , NEVSKY , RED STAR, OPW I , MB (ZA OTVAGU) would these would be a normal set or would it be to strange ?
Egorka Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 Hello! If you want as authentic as possible, then, I guess, HSU is not the way to go. These were not a common awards, and I doubt you are planning to acquire one just for that purpose. Or am I mistaken? Otherwise such set would be possible, though not common.
podpolkovnik Posted March 22, 2018 Author Posted March 22, 2018 So what awards would be normal for a WWII major of tank troops ?
Egorka Posted March 22, 2018 Posted March 22, 2018 (edited) Here are a few examples of Majors from 1 Guards tank army. From a single Red Star to HSU. Anything in between is possible really. I just wanted to say, that setting your bar at HSU Star might be just too ambitious. Or not. Edited March 22, 2018 by Egorka

Thanks egorka , really apreciated that you were the only one to reply , anyways; ambition is never too high so I'm thinking an Alexander Nevsky , OPW , red star and HSU with a Lenin So any other not awkward possible combination ?
Egorka Posted March 23, 2018 Posted March 23, 2018 All original Alexander Nevsky , OPW , red star and HSU with a Lenin ? If you really plan to acquire an original HSU star, then maybe it makes sense to recreate the award set that particular veteran had?
