Noor Posted October 16, 2019 Posted October 16, 2019 Hi all, I am seeking any extra information and also if there is available a photo of Malcolm Gordon John McHaffie, Royal Engineers. During the WW1 he served from July 1916 in the 167 A.T.Coy Royal Engineers and ended the war as a Major. He appears in the Army lists as well in 30s. I assume as a territorial officer. Therefore, is it possible to confirm as well did he received a Territorial Decoration? Like I understand, he do not appear any Coronation or Jubilee medal rolls. During the WW2 he started his service again as a major in T.A. (Territorial Army). 1944 he became a Lieutenant Colonel.1952 Army List shows him as a Colonel. Not sure did he became entitle to Defence medal (and War medal as well). His obituary has good overview of him as a engineer. Also it shows that he received a French Croix de Chevalier du Merite Maritime in 1953. any help and advise how to research him any further would be greatly appreciated!
