Richarddwh Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 Bought these amongst some other items. I'd had seen the enamelled badge before, it has an Austrian eagle. I'm unsure as to whether it's WW1 era or the First Austria Republic. Any thoughts welcome! The reverse
Elmar Lang Posted April 11, 2020 Posted April 11, 2020 (edited) Hello, in my opinion, the eagle holding hammer and sickle in its talons, is the coat-of-arms of 1919 Deutschösterreich, or the post-WW2 2nd Republic. Not being visible the "broken chain" to the eagle's talons, it's most probable that the badge dates back to the "Republik Deutschösterreich" Best wishes, E.L. Edited April 11, 2020 by Elmar Lang
